I love the eyes and lips best.

Claire and Alannah are lovely. I’m not remotely envious that she beat me to the novice first prize last year, nope, not a bit… well, ok, maybe just a bit. . Her work last year and this year was beautiful.
I also met Diana and her model at the rehearsal on Friday night. I loved the colours and the big cobra headpiece and wish I could have seen the whole thing under black light!
Cross fingers Nick and Brian Wolfe come back to NZ sometime, their workshops are a blast.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get to meet you. I’m Kath Worsfold, and I was the assistant of Claire Sunderland of Melbourne (she won the novice category last year) and Diana of “Loony Bin Products”, also from Melbourne. Claire was in the Pro category with you.

Great minds think alike – Diana’s entry was also a snake, but she was in the “Illusions” category (or whatever it’s called) for flourescent entries. Her model looked gorgeous under the black light.

We were up on a level above the foyer – we had our own little “Aussie ghetto”. LOL. We got lots of sun up there – too much! And also we got some of the heat from the big gas heater in the foyer.

I’m not an Aussie, but I loved being with them – they were so warm and friendly. I feel like I’ve made firm and long-lasting friends (I’d only met them on the internet before Saturday).

I hope to meet up with you sometime, Kara – I’ll keep reading your blog. It’s really interesting, and I’m green with envy about your workshop with the Evil Twins.
